Buy a medical business in Poland
Among all medical fields, dentistry in Poland stands apart. It is the segment with the highest share of private payments. State insurance (NFZ) covers dental treatment for adults only nominally (outdated materials, extraction instead of treatment). Therefore, 90% of Poles and immigrants pay for dental care out of their own pockets.
For an investor, a dental clinic is an asset with a high average check, but also a high entry threshold.
The Economics of the Dental Chair
Unlike a GP’s office, where only the doctor’s time is sold, dentistry sells technology and materials.
Implantology and Prosthetics yield the highest margins. A single patient can spend between 20,000 and 50,000 PLN at the clinic for a course of treatment.
Orthodontics (braces, aligners) ensures patient retention for 1.5–2 years with monthly payments.
The profitability of a successful dental practice reaches 25–30%, which is higher than the medical market average.
Technical Challenges of Launching
Opening a dental clinic is more difficult than a regular polyclinic. The main barriers are:
X-ray Diagnostics. A modern clinic is impossible without a visiograph or CBCT scanner. Installing them requires permission from the National Atomic Energy Agency (Państwowa Agencja Atomistyki) and special wall protection projects (baryte plaster or lead).
Equipment. The cost of one dental unit with equipment varies from 50,000 to 150,000 PLN.
Sterilization. Strict requirements for autoclave rooms.
How Does MED INVEST GROUP Reduce Risks?
An independent launch of a dental clinic by a newcomer often ends with the purchase of expensive but illiquid equipment and problems with X-ray room acceptance.
Equipment Leasing. We help arrange leasing for medical equipment on favorable terms, reducing the burden on the investor’s starting capital.
Design. Our engineers create radiation protection projects that pass inspection on the first try.
Recruitment. We find dentists with their own patient base, which guarantees revenue from the first month.
Dentistry is the “premium segment” of medical investments: a high cost of entry, but stable and high returns for years to come.
